Raising Your Parent EQ (Emotional Quotient)

Dr. Jayasri Ghosh will discuss the concept of Emotional Intelligence, a termcoined by Daniel Goleman in his seminal book, “Emotional Intelligence.” She will explore what emotional intelligence entails and how we can all turn parenting into an endeavor that brings life-long satisfaction and growth – not only for children, but for adults as well. The concept of Emotional Quotient will be explained, include examining one’s core values, and developing good habits and a ‘growth mind-set’. Participants will practice skills of listening and reflection, and sharpen their skills of anticipating conflict while learning to remain flexible.
